Research Project
During my internship, I will be conducting a research project in collaboration with CIMMYT (The International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center), focusing on innovative agricultural practices and sustainable crop development to support global food security.
My research question is: Transdisciplinarity in Agriculture Research for Development: A Case Study of CIMMYT Hub Model in Mexico

Hub Model Certification
Today, I got certified in the CIMMYT Hub Model Training course. I now know the inner workings of the hubs and the physical infrastructure (research platforms, modules, extensions, and impact areas) that make it possible.
This was an eight-hour online training course put together by the primary department heads of the Sustainable Agri-Food Systems. I was able to learn how agronomic research, mechanization, postharvest, farmer market linkages/financial inclusion, capacity development, outreach, data services, and gender and youth inclusions work together to create a transdisciplinary environment that makes these hubs successful for agriculture development in resource-poor areas.

Youth Engagement Project
Throughout my time here at CIMMYT, I will have five publications in the CIMMYT Newsletter in the Youth Engagement Section. Here I will post the links for the Newsletters for everyone to see!

Past Research
I wrote a research paper that I presented at the Iowa Youth Institute and the Global Youth Institute. I was the 5th Place Global Challenge Award Recipient.
